The Los Angeles Chargers should have their eyes on these prospects late in the 2020 NFL Draft.

The Los Angeles Chargers hold the sixth overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft draft and have a need at the quarterback position. We have obviously been thinking more about what they could possibly do early in the 2020 NFL Draft as opposed to late. That being said, there are a ton of interesting late-round prospects in this class who could particularly appeal to the Chargers.

Whether they end up making a play for Tua Tagovailoa or Justin Herbert, or not, the Los Angeles Chargers have an opportunity to significantly improve the depth on their roster if they can nail those late-round selections.

In this post, we are going to take a look at four specific prospects who the Los Angeles Chargers should target on Day 3 of the 2020 NFL Draft. Let’s get started.

Cameron Clark, OL, Charlotte

Besides perhaps quarterback, the offensive line stands out as the biggest need for the Los Angeles Chargers, particularly offensive tackle. Free-agent addition Bryan Bulaga will handle right tackle duties for the team, but they are currently relying on Trey Pipkins at left tackle and that is not ideal.

Unfortunately, finding a solid left tackle late in the draft is nearly impossible, but there are some offensive linemen who could certainly help this team. Here, we are going to focus on Cameron Clark, a 6-foot-5, 308-pound offensive lineman who dominated at left tackle for Charlotte the last three seasons.

Clark has long arms and is incredibly powerful at the point of attack. He is a tough and tenacious blocker who shines in the run game. However, he does have some footwork issues in pass protection that will have to be cleaned up if he is going to play tackle at the next level. Clark may be best suited to kick inside to guard, but I would not give up on him as a potential asset at left tackle just yet.

Regardless of where he plays, Clark is an extremely interesting offensive line prospect who the Los Angeles Chargers should undoubtedly be targeting late in the 2020 NFL Draft.
