Dallas Cowboys 7-round 2020 NFL mock draft: Adding defensive help
By Tyler Kirk
Grade: B
Summary: Overall I think that Cowboys addressed most of their needs and got great value in return. They got their edge rusher, a monster defensive tackle, a couple of wideouts and a corner. With this class, I can see potentially three to four starters right away.
The Dallas Cowboys not only added potentially four starters but they also added much-needed depth to multiple positions. They improved their special teams unit right away from a team that ranked 30th in the league last year according to Footballoutsiders.com.
My favorite pick in this class was Binjimen Victor and the best value I believe was Ross Blacklock in the second round. I think that the biggest impact player the Dallas Cowboys drafted would be K’Lavon Chaisson. If he gets drafted to this team, I believe we see him in a starting role. I was very happy with the results of this draft. This class has a chance to be special.
I think that with this class that the Cowboys would compete right away for the division title and potentially the NFC crown. It remains unknown what the Cowboys will do in the 2020 NFL draft but if they had this draft Mike McCarthy and the Jones family would be smiling from ear to ear.
