Defensive Sleepers Part 2

Reggie Robinson II, CB, Tulsa

Adding a cornerback early in the 2020 NFL Draft is an all but foregone conclusion at this point. The only question surrounding that position on the team is whether or not they will double up at the said position.

If they do choose to add a second corner late in the draft, Reggie Robinson for Tulsa is one person to watch. Robinson brings good athleticism and 4.4 speed to the field and NFL.com’s Lance Zierlein points to his ball skills and instincts as further reasons as to how he could succeed in the NFL.

Projected Draft Range: Round 4 – Round 5

Khaleke Hudson, S/LB, Michigan

Khaleke Hudson is a local boy who might see himself staying in the state of Michigan for the beginning of his professional career. He has experience playing a variety of positions, including linebacker, safety, and edge rusher. In Detroit, Hudson would likely play all over the field, with no true position.

His biggest immediate contribution will come as a special teamer, using his speed and sound tackling skills to develop into an all-star gunner. If this sounds familiar, it’s because it’s a role (primarily special teams, LB/S hybrid) that is already filled by Miles Killebrew.

However, Hudson would be a versatile piece that could come in and compete with Killebrew for that spot on the team, offering a younger and cheaper option with potentially higher upside.
