59. Pick Analysis. Safety. Jeremy Chinn. 2. player. Scouting Report. Southern Illinois

The Miami Dolphins defense is on its way thanks to a number of additions in free agency. Brian Flores has a solid front seven in house, along with a great group at corner. The one area that help is needed is at the safety position. Right now, Adrian Phillips and Eric Rowe are listed as the starters, and that won’t get it done.

Bringing in Southern Illinois safety Jeremy Chinn would be excellent for the Dolphins. Chinn grabbed headlines at the Senior Bowl and at the combine, testing well and showing he can compete against top competition. His range on the back end is very good, and Chinn possesses great ball skills. He would also bring versatility to Miami, something Flores will like.

Scouting Report. Florida State. Cam Akers. 3. 59. Pick Analysis. Running Back. player

Now that the offensive line is built up pretty well and they’ve selected a quarterback, it’s time to get a talented running back in house. Cam Akers would be pretty good value at the 70th overall pick.

Akers had an awful offensive line in front of him, and still put together two 1,000 yard seasons at Florida State. He’s a great athlete who has the ability to create on his own, making defenders miss and working through contact. Akers also makes an impact on all three downs. Imagine how good he can be in Miami.
