Los Angeles Rams 7-round 2020 NFL mock draft: Pass rush priorities
The 2020 offseason saw the Los Angeles Rams lose their top two edge rushers to free agency in Dante Fowler and Clay Matthews. They replaced those losses with former first-rounder, Leonard Floyd, who up to this point has been considered a bust. He may very well hit his stride with the new scenery but his presence does not take away the gigantic need for pass-rush help in LA.
So, with the Los Angeles Rams’ first pick in this mock draft, I have them selecting Alabama edge rusher, Terrell Lewis.
If it weren’t for his injury concerns, Terrell Lewis may very well be a sure-fire first-round prospect. He has all the tools necessary to dominate at the next level but has not been able to stay healthy in his career with the Crimson Tide.
With only eight sacks in 26 career games, this pick is all about his potential, but that may be worth the risk with the 52nd overall pick. It does not take long when watching his tape to see what I mean, as he is a player that flashes quite a bit. He explodes off the snap and knows how to use his long limbs to his advantage.
If Lewis can put his injury problems behind him, he could prove to be a steal for the Rams if they are able to snag him in the second.
