WR. Brandon Aiyuk. player. Scouting Report. Arizona State. 2. 52. Pick Analysis

The Jaguars don’t really have any reliable pass catchers aside from D.J. Chark, so wide receiver is a need to give Minshew higher quality options so in a receiving class that has a lot of depth it gives them the opportunity to fill other needs with their first round picks and address wide receiver in the second round.

Brandon Aiyuk is a solid, dependable receiver. He is a pretty good route runner who has quick breaks and runs smart route where he finds the holes in the defense well. He does have just average speed and he’s just 6-foot, which is why I don’t see him as first round receiver. He produced well at Arizona State recording 65 catches for 1192 yards and 8 touchdowns and I’m confident that he can be a reliable second/third option type of receiver in the NFL.

LB. Ohio State. 3. player. Scouting Report. Malik Harrison. 52. Pick Analysis

The Jaguars gave Joe Schobert a big deal in free agency, but drafting a linebacker still isn’t a bad idea because they didn’t get good play from that position last season. Myles Jack is a fairly well known player, but he didn’t perform well last season as he graded 76th ranked linebacker out of 90, according to PFF.

Malik Harrison has the look of a solid, starting quality linebacker in the NFL. He has good instincts against the run, he always reacts quickly to the run and flies to the football. In coverage, he isn’t great, but he has enough athleticism to hold up in that area. The area he most needs to improve is his tackling because he missed too many tackles at Ohio State and cutting down on those mistakes will be key for him in the NFL.
