Pick Analysis. 42. LSU. Damien Lewis. 4. player. Scouting Report. Offensive Line

The San Francisco 49ers have a big need on the interior of their offensive line, and unfortunately, the 2020 NFL Draft doesn’t feature a great offensive line class on the interior. There are a couple of names worth targeting in the middle rounds, and one of those is LSU guard Damien Lewis.

Lewis put together a great week down in Mobile at the Senior Bowl. He held his own against some of the better defensive tackles in the country. Lewis showed great mobility and hand placement all season long and during the Senior Bowl game, and he should be a starter within his first two seasons.

Isaiah Hodgins. player. Scouting Report. Oregon State. Wide Receiver. 5. 42. Pick Analysis

Yes, we’ve waited some time to take a wide receiver for the 49ers, but it feels like they’ll be comfortable waiting in a deep class, especially with impact players on the roster like Deebo Samuel. Here, they get a steal in Oregon State’s Isaiah Hodgins.

Hodgins is getting more attention in media circles than the NFL, and maybe because Hodgins hangs his hat on winning in contested spots and in the red zone with strong hands. He shows flashes of creating separation though, especially on double moves. He’s easily worth a selection on day three and would at least become a role player in Kyle Shanahan’s offense.
