Willie Gay Jr. can be that upgrade. Gay tested extremely well at the scouting combine, and when everyone got back to the tape, he moved up boards big time. He’s got the athleticism, quickness, and range to be an every-down player, and he flies downhill and is a violent finisher. Gay will have to answer some off the field questions, but if that’s cleared, he’s well worth it in round two.

Robert Hunt is a powerful offensive lineman. While he played tackle at Louisiana, it’s likely he moves inside. He’s dominant at the point of attack, his anchor is strong, and he is a great finisher. Hunt could make a big impact on day one for the Chiefs, especially in pass protection.
