The Cleveland Browns’ offensive line is not yet completely rebuilt.

Rumors have been swirling around that Cleveland has taken a liking to Boise State tackle Ezra Cleveland, which would make sense because of the fact that he’s one of the most athletic tackles in the draft and would suit the zone blocking scheme quite nicely, but Andrew Thomas is too much of a sure thing to pass on here.

If the Browns went with a position besides tackle here, what would they do? If they traded down, what would they take?

They obviously would have a number of options in those scenarios, but for now, it makes sense that the Browns would stay put and take a tackle like Thomas, who would start immediately for them as a rookie and would provide them with a likely decade-long player at the position.

Coming from Georgia, Thomas is going to already be familiar with the style of offense Stefanski will implement. He has experience in a pro-style offense with zone concepts in the running game, but Thomas’ skill set is really suited to any scheme. He’s just a really good, dependable player.

Starting left tackle: Solved.
