The Cleveland Browns have the 10th overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft. Could they use their later picks to move into the back end of round one?

The Cleveland Browns have a new general manager, a new head coach, a new defensive coordinator, and new uniforms.

Again.

General manager Andrew Berry is the sixth man to hold that title while the Browns have been under the ownership of the Haslam’s, and they are certainly hoping beyond all hope that the combination of Berry, head coach Kevin Stefanski, and quarterback Baker Mayfield is a winning one.

Berry has familiarity with the Browns’ organization having worked for the team from 2016-18 as Vice President of Player Personnel, but after his year away from the team (worked in Philadelphia in 2019), he’s back calling all of the shots.

With Kevin Stefanski coming over from the Minnesota Vikings this past year in his first year as full-time offensive coordinator, getting the opportunity to work with a Super Bowl champion head coach in Gary Kubiak, who has now taken on the OC duties in Minnesota.

The Browns made some substantial upgrades in free agency with Jack Conklin signing a big three-year, $42 million deal ($14 million AAV) to be the team’s right tackle along with tight end Austin Hooper coming over from the Atlanta Falcons (4 years, $42 million). They also added veterans Andrew Sendejo and Karl Joseph on defense at the safety position, and backup quarterback Case Keenum.

Cleveland has a pretty clear need at the left tackle spot heading into the 2020 NFL Draft as well as needs at linebacker, safety, and interior offensive line.

Let’s take a look at a seven-round mock draft scenario for the Browns with just over a week before the 2020 NFL Draft using the NFL Mock Draft Database simulator.
