Jack Driscoll – Offensive Tackle – Auburn

2019 Season Starts: 13

In the introduction, one of the factors that leads to a player becoming an underrated player is who else is on their team. To further explain, this typically means that a particular player has a teammate, usually in the same position group, that has a much bigger name attached to them. In this case, it is Auburn offensive tackle Jack Driscoll who is over-shadowed by teammate Prince Tega Wanogho.

Wanogho, who almost declared in 2019, has been garnering significant day two buzz since before 2020 NFL Draft season began, largely due in part to his high upside as a prospect. Driscoll on the other hand, has been largely seen as a day three type of player. Despite this, Driscoll is still a solid tackle option in the 2020 NFL Draft.

While his ceiling isn’t at the level of Wanogho, Driscoll’s floor, for my money is a little bit higher. Driscoll is a solid technician, showing good hand placement and awareness. He possesses a solid anchor despite hot having the greatest strength in the class. He won’t wow with pure athleticism, but Driscoll displays the ability to be a capable mover in space.

Driscoll will probably continue to be a career right tackle even into the NFL, which isn’t a not on knock on his game at all. Driscoll is still worthy of praise despite some limitations as a prospect.
