2020 NFL Draft: Four teams find franchise QB in two-round NFL mock draft
Jerry Jeudy lands in the Bay Area to give Jimmy Garoppolo another receiver in the passing game. The 49ers would love to find someone who can put up the numbers Emanuel Sanders did for them last season when he came over in a trade from the Denver Broncos. Jeudy is that guy and even more and gives Kyle Shanahan the best weapon on offense since he was the offensive coordinator with the Falcons.
Jeudy should pair well with Deebo Samuel who had a solid rookie season last year. Kendrick Bourne is turning into a nice option at the third wideout spot and Trent Taylor is another young option at the position for the 49ers. Do not forget that even though they support a young cast of receivers, veteran Marquise Goodwin can still be an effective deep threat with the speed he provides.
Biggest Needs: WR, CB, OL
Well, the Buccaneers made a splash in free agency bringing in the G.O.A.T. Tom Brady on a two-year deal. Next, they need to find a way to protect him. Andrew Thomas, the offensive tackle out of Georgia, would come in and solidify the right tackle position for the Buccaneers.
Currently, the Bucs only have Joe Haeg, who was brought over from the Indianapolis Colts, as a possible option at right tackle. For the Buccaneers to succeed in 2020, they need to make right tackle a priority on draft day. Thomas is the ideal guy to come in and immediately solidify the positoin.
Biggest Needs: OL, CB, RB
The Broncos, like the Raiders and 49ers, are also searching for an impact receiver in the 2020 NFL Draft. Henry Ruggs III did not put up the stats that Jeudy or Lamb have put up but don’t let that fool you.
Ruggs is a great route runner and will be a great target for second-year quarterback Drew Lock. Pairing Ruggs and his incredible speed with Courtland Sutton and his fantastic contested-catch ability would be a paring that could last a decade in Denver.
Biggest Needs: WR, OL, DB
The Atlanta Falcons trade this pick away and add two third-round 2020 NFL Draft picks to their pool of picks to build their roster for the 2020 season. The Patriots move up seven spots to land their quarterback of the future. This is new territory for the Pats who saw Tom Brady walk in free agency after spending his entire 20-year career in New England.
The fourth quarterback taken in this 2020 NFL Draft scenario is Jordan Love from the Utah State Aggies. Love threw for over 3,000 yards in back-to-back seasons and had under a 65% completion percentage. He is going to have to work on his accuracy at the next level and who better to learn from than Bill Belichick?
Biggest Needs: QB, TE, WR
