QB. Miami Dolphins. Justin Herbert. 5. player. 59.

The Dolphins decided to stay in place and keep all three of their first-round 2020 NFL Draft picks. The Chargers made a bold move to get ahead of the Dolphins to land Tua. That leaves Herbert and Love for the taking for Miami. Hebert lands in Miami and competes with Ryan Fitzpatrick for the starting gig next season.

The Dolphins front office thinks highly of Herbert and that is why I believe they do not move up for Burrow or Tagovailoa. Herbert needs to work on his accuracy as he has not completed more than 70% of his passes in a season.

Herbert can learn a lot from Fitzpatrick as he has played with several teams and learned many different playbooks. Fitzpatrick is a very smart decision-maker who a young quarterback like Herbert will be lucky to have in Miami.

Biggest Needs: QB, OT, S

6. player. 50. . CB. Detroit Lions. Jeff Okudah

The Lions moved down three spots and pick up two extra draft picks. Even doing so, the Lions still get the player they wanted all along and the number one cornerback Jeff Okudah from Ohio State in this year’s draft.

The Lions traded their best cornerback Darius Slay to the Eagles for third and fifth-round picks in the 2020 NFL Draft. In free agency, they did bring aboard Desmond Trufant, the longtime Falcons cornerback, who still has plenty left in the tank to prove.

Bringing in Okudah gives the Lions a one-two punch at cornerback next season and they have plenty of 2020 NFL Draft capital to add a lot more depth at other key positions.

Biggest Needs: CB, Edge, CB

. DL. Carolina Panthers. Derrick Brown. 7. player. 87

The Panthers need to rebuild their entire defense and I went back and forth with them picking Derrick Brown or Isaiah Simmons at this spot. In the end, I went with Brown because I believe that interior defensive linemen are more of a dire need for the Panthers defense.

Currently, at defensive tackle, the Panthers only have Woodrow Hamilton and Zach Kerr. Hamilton has only played two games since 2016 and Kerr has bounced around the NFL from team to team.

Brown’s senior season at Auburn was solid and he is clearly the front-runner at his position. Brown totaled 55 tackles, four sacks, two forced fumbles, and two fumble recoveries in 2019 for the Auburn Tigers.

Biggest Needs: IDL, CB, LB

player. 32. . LB. Arizona Cardinals. Isaiah Simmons. 8

The Cardinals take the best player on the board and fill an immediate need. Three quarterbacks going in the top five allows Simmons fall to eighth overall. Simmons is a freakish talent who can play a multitude of positions on defense. He has lined up at cornerback, safety, linebacker and defensive end during his college tenure at Clemson.

He played the majority of snaps at linebacker, which will be his primary position at the NFL level, and that is where he plays the best. Do not be surprised though if Kingsbury uses him at different positions throughout the season for the Cardinals though. It would be exciting to watch for sure.

The Cardinals are happy to take Simmons here, but he is a player who I would not be surprised if someone made a move to trade up for.
