2020 NFL Draft: Four teams find franchise QB in two-round NFL mock draft
Predicting the 2020 NFL Draft with a two-round NFL mock draft.
The 2020 NFL Draft will not go on as planned in Las Vegas and instead, the draft will be done completely virtual. The COVID-19 pandemic has shut down the country, causing several sports to cancel their seasons. The NFL did not want to change the date of the 2020 NFL Draft from April 23-25 so this was the plan so it could still go on as scheduled.
Instead of having players and fan celebrations in the crowd when picks are made the players will be cheering and celebrating with their families at home. I believe it will bring a realistic feeling to fans across the country as you see that it’s not just their own families and friends being stuck inside due to the quarantine protocols.
The 2020 NFL Draft is top-heavy in receivers and cornerbacks this upcoming season, do not let that overshadow seeing at least four quarterbacks go in the first round. Three of the quarterbacks are taken in the top five of this mock draft.
There are no running backs taken in the first round of this mock draft but there can be a case made for at least two running back prospects, Jonathan Taylor and D’Andre Swift, who someone may make a trade for at the bottom of the first round.
The only team in the first round who has three drafts picks is the Miami Dolphins, who are sitting well at 5, 18 and 26th overall. Four teams have two picks in the first round and they are Jacksonville, Las Vegas, Minnesota and San Francisco. The teams with no picks in the first round of the 2020 NFL Draft are Buffalo, Chicago, Houston, Indianapolis, Los Angeles Rams and Pittsburgh.
There are three trades that occurred in this mock draft with two of them involving teams moving up for a quarterback. We take pick-by-pick analysts of the entire first round of the 2020 NFL Draft in this mock draft. After an in-depth approach to the first-round, you will get a taste for who I believe will land in the second round for each team.
