Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. EDGE. Ohio State. player. 58. Chase Young. 2

This one is not quite as obvious as Burrow to Cincy, but it is close. There is a world where the Washington Redskins fall in love with a quarterback and take him with the second overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft. It is also possible that they consider trade-down scenarios. That being said, far and away the most likely outcome here is that Washington simply stands pat and takes Chase Young with the second overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft.

Young is almost inarguably the single-best player in the 2020 NFL Draft class. He is a game-wreaking edge rusher who has absolutely massive upside at the next level. Young has an explosive first step and consistently gets tremendous upfield burst as a pass rusher. He is powerful at the point of attack and shows ridiculous bend around the edge. He has an incredible combination of power and athleticism that immediately gives him massive upside at the next level.

As impressive as his physical skill-set is, Young also shows tremendous natural hand usage as both a run defender and pass rusher. He also has a wide array of pass-rush moves that help him create pressure around the edge and when knifing inside.

Edge rusher does not stand out as a massive immediate need for Washington, but Young is simply too talented of a player to ignore. Unless a massive trade offer comes along, simply standing pat and getting Chase Young to lead Ron Rivera‘s defense is the way to go.
