One-and-Done NBA-style first-round 2020 NFL mock draft

Secondary was an area of need for the Cowboys prior to the departure of Byron Jones. The Cowboys select C.J. Henderson, the second most NFL ready corner in the 2020 NFL Draft class behind Okudah. The Cowboys may look to safeties Xavier McKinney or Grant Delpit, but after singing Ha Ha Clinton-Dix to a one-year deal, corner appears to be the bigger position of need for the Cowboys heading into the draft.
The Steelers traded this first-round pick to the Dolphins for 2019 All-Pro safety Minkah Fitzpatrick which saw immediate results last season. The Steelers defense saw an increase in total sacks, a significant drop in yards allowed and accounted for an increase of 21 to 42 takeaways. With tackle Javon Hargrave as the most significant departure on defense, the Steelers address concerns over life without Roethlisberger.
While second-year Mason Rudolph showed some glimpses over his turn as a starter, he did not display enough to prove his role as heir to Big Ben and temporarily lost his job to an undrafted rookie. With a strong defense and a healthy Roethlisberger, the Steelers look to contend in 2020 and can use this pick to draft a replacement to groom into the role.
The Bears biggest offseason move was trading for Jacksonville reject, Nick Foles. The former Super Bowl MVP will look to regain the form he had with the Eagles and contend with Mitchell Trubisky, but the trade indicates the Bears are considering alternatives for the quarterback position. After coming in relief to complete the 2018 season, Morgan earned the starting role in the Golden Gopher offense and set school records in passing yards and touchdowns in a season by throwing for over 3,200 yards and 30 touchdowns.
The 6-foot-2 Kentucky native is returning to Minnesota in 2020 and looks to improve his skills in an effort to become a 2021 first-round selection. Morgan is an accurate downfield passer with a strong arm and good decision making abilities. Those attributes helped carry P.J. Fleck’s squad to their best season in decades and a ranking as high as No. 7 during the regular season.
At 20-years-old, Parsons has been the best Penn State defender during his two seasons in State College and has been one of the top linebackers in the country. Finishing the 2019 season accounting for a total of 109 tackles, five sacks and four forced fumbles; Parsons is carrying momentum into the 2020 season and projects to go early in the 2021 NFL Draft.
The Rams are in need of both pass rusher and linebackers and Parsons possesses the size, speed, technique and strength to cover multiple looks in an NFL defense and carry on the legacy of great Penn State linebackers.
