Potential trade-up targets for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2020 NFL Draft

Exploring potential trade-up targets for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the 2020 NFL Draft
There’s no doubt that the Tampa Bay Buccaneers have had a splashy offseason, changing the direction of their franchise with the Tom Brady signing. He doesn’t have too many good years left, so they need to make the most of his final years (or year) before he retires. That might mean making a bold move on draft night to add a player who can contribute to a potential playoff or even Super Bowl run next season.
By signing Brady, they’ve filled their short-term need for a quarterback, so they very likely won’t be looking at quarterbacks unless the Bucs really like someone they think can sit behind Brady and develop for the future. Edge rusher also isn’t a big need anymore after Tampa franchise-tagged Shaquil Barrett and resigned Jason Pierre-Paul. They do still have holes at offensive tackle, running back and secondary, which they can look to fill in the draft.
Of course, it depends on asking price, but I could see the Buccaneers trading up either from their first-round pick at 14th overall into the top 10 or from there second-round pick at 45th overall into the back half of the first round.
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have seven picks in the 2020 NFL Draft with one pick in all rounds except two fourth-round picks and no seventh-round picks, so they can offer day two picks as well as fourth rounders in a potential trade. At the same time, they can always offer picks from next year’s draft.
