The Broncos lost one of their most versatile and smartest defensive backs — safety/nickelback Will Parks — to free agency (Eagles).

Although not many are talking about the Broncos’ need to replace Parks both in the locker room and on the field, it’s a notable hole yet to be addressed.

Terrell Burgess is beloved by coaches but really only has one full season of production at Utah.

That lack of experience will probably get him pushed at least a round down the board than he would otherwise go with his abilities, but Burgess is a good fit here and the Broncos like to take shots on defensive backs at the bottom of round three.

Burgess can play in the slot and in the box, and was highly productive this past season with 81 total tackles, 7.5 tackles for loss, and five pass breakups (one interception).

He could be the Will Parks replacement for Denver’s defense.
