Jeff Okudah. player. Scouting Report. CB. Ohio State. 1. 52. Pick Analysis

Jeff Okudah has the exact prototypical physical traits for the cornerback position. He has great size (6-foot-1, 200 pounds), long arms, and super athleticism. Coming into the season there was concern about his ball skills, but he definitely put those to rest this season with three interceptions and many other great plays on the ball. Ultimately, Okudah could come in right away and be the number one corner for almost any team in the NFL and has legitimate All-Pro level upside.

Ohio State has produced five first-round cornerbacks in the past five drafts including Bradley Roby, Eli Apple, Marshon Lattimore, Gareon Conley and Denzel Ward. That is an impressive list, but Okudah is better than all of them. He is considered by most to be the most impressive cornerback prospect in recent memory.

After trading Jalen Ramsey and A.J. Bouye, the Jacksonville Jaguars have a big need at cornerback and Okudah is the perfect replacement for Ramsey. How far they would have to trade up to secure him depends on if a team like the Dolphins, Chargers, or Panthers strike a deal with a Lions to secure a quarterback because if the Lions stay at three they most likely will take him. The trade would obviously be costly, but it may just be worth it to land an elite prospect at a premium position.
