Round 4

Pick Analysis. TE. Mizzou. Albert Okwuegbunam. 122. player. 46. Scouting Report

Projected Starters: Jack Doyle, Matt Lengel

The Colts lost Eric Ebron this off-season and need to draft his replacement. Doyle is serviceable, but his ability in the passing game has deteriorated and he is best used as a blocker nowadays. Okwuegunam can come in and fill that Ebron role as the primary pass-catching tight end.

At Mizzou, he wasn’t able to get the ball much, but when he did he showed just how lethal he can be. To go along with his huge build, he also has the freakish speed for a guy his size as his 4.49 time in the 40 solidified.

The reason he isn’t ranked higher as a prospect is because he struggles with engaging as a blocker. It’s not that he is a bad blocker, but instead, the fact he doesn’t know or simply forgets who he is supposed to block on certain plays. He compares favorably to Broncos tight end Noah Fant and has the potential to be one of the best tight ends in the game. Another sleeper pick for the Colts.

Round 5

McTelvin Agim. 46. DT. Arkansas. 160. player. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis

Projected Starters: DeForest Buckner, Grover Stewart, Sheldon Day

Chris Ballard did a great job this off-season filling the giant hole in the center of the defense when he went out and traded for DeForest Buckner. With that being said, the nose tackle position is still lacking some serious depth.

McTelvin Agim is not a guy that can come in right away and play many meaningful snaps, but he is a great development piece. He has only one year of experience at nose tackle after transitioning from defensive end, which means he is still learning the position.

He is a very raw prospect but showed some serious ability at the East-West Shrine Game. With a guy like Buckner ahead of him on the depth chart who went through a similar transition at Oregon, he could be a low-risk project that at worst can become a decent rotational piece.

Round 6

WR. 193. 46. Scouting Report. Vanderbilt. Kalija Lipscomb. player. Pick Analysis

Projected Starters: T.Y Hilton, Zach Pascal, Paris Campbell

Yes, another wide receiver. This wideout class is so deep, that great talent is bound to fall through the cracks. Lipscomb was once considered a first two-day lock but has since fallen from grace after not putting up numbers on a horrible Vandy football team.

The issue is just that though, his team was atrocious, and it isn’t his fault he wasn’t able to produce at the level he was earlier in his career. What he lacks in speed he makes up for in technical route running and amazing hands. He can be moved into the slot and be a guy that’s lethal underneath and be primarily used as a chain mover. The Indianapolis Colts really need a guy who is always open, and Lipscomb can truly transition to that at the next level.

197. player. 46. Yasir Durant. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. RT/OG. Mizzou

Projected Starters: Braden Smith, Quentin Nelson, Mark Glowinski

With their final selection in the draft, I think it’s very important the Indianapolis Colts add some depth to their offensive line. Durant is a guy who is primarily a tackle but has the ability to be moved inside if necessary. Being that Castonzo and Smith are presumably sticking around for the foreseeable future, I wouldn’t mind seeing if Durant moved inside and competed with Glowinski for a starting spot at right guard.

Next. Late-Round WR targets for Colts. dark

Durant had a fantastic 2018 season but took a minor dip in 2019. He has a massive frame and he uses it very well, as he tries to control his opposing rusher with his immense power. His angles are a bit questionable at times as is his footwork which is why he will be drafted this late, but those are some things NFL coaching can surely improve upon.

Durant continues the theme of the draft as he is a guy who is simply being overlooked and can provide valuable depth at a position the Indianapolis Colts lack depth.
