With the clear need of wide receiver addressed with their 2020 NFL Draft first-round pick, the Buffalo Bills could go in a variety of directions with their second-round selection. To me, they could really afford to take the best player available.

Already with one of the best defensive units in the league and improving their offense by trading for a dynamic weapon, Buffalo can improve their roster in many different ways. I believe at this point, depending on who is available at 54, I expect the Bills to add some more young talent to their defensive line.

After selecting Ed Oliver with their first-round selection a year ago in the top ten of the 2019 NFL Draft, the Bills and defensive-minded head coach Sean McDermott could certainly add some for young talent to their defensive line.

Jordan Phillips had an outstanding season last year for the Bills but moved on to the Arizona Cardinals in free agency. Despite bringing back defensive tackle Star Lotulelei on a restructured contract, the Buffalo Bills could want to add another young talent at the position to pair with Oliver for years to come.

That perfect pair could certainly be a player like Justin Madubuike out of Texas A&M. Madubuike is a very solid and consistent defensive lineman who can play all across the line, similar to Oliver. He was impressive at the combine and produced at a high level in the SEC. Having two versatile and productive defenders and the tackle position would be a great luxury for a coach like McDermott, and would be a smart move by the Buffalo front office.

86.. player. Pick Analysis. Defensive End. Florida. Jonathan Greenard. 16. Scouting Report

One of my favorite players in the 2020 NFL Draft is Jonathan Greenard. After spending his first three years of eligibility at Louisville, Greenard continued to improve and had a breakout season as a senior at Florida.

Watching the Gators defense on film, Greenard really stood out to me. Play after play, Greenard was shedding blocks, flocking to the ball and putting himself in a position to make plays. He ended up with 10 sacks, 56 tackles, 16 tackles for loss, three forced fumbles, four pass deflections, an interception and a fumble recovery returned for a touchdown.

Whether he was standing as an outside linebacker or had his hand in the dirt as a defensive end, Greenard was making plays. He would be another productive young defensive lineman at McDermott’s disposal, and with the free agency signing of Mario Addison and the return of veteran end Jerry Hughes, Greenard would have some time to develop before being relied on as a full-time starter.

Bringing in both Madubuike and Greenard with their first two selections in the 2020 NFL Draft, the Buffalo Bills could add a wave of youth and potential to a very stout defensive front. Both are very talented and versatile players that would be welcomed sight for head coach Sean McDermott and a nightmare for opposing offenses.
