After the departure of Cory Littleton this offseason, there is a huge hole in the middle of the Los Angeles Rams defense. Their inside linebackers currently consist of Micah Kiser, Kenny Young, and Travin Howard, so addressing that need in the 2020 NFL draft is a must.

If the Rams really wanted to find an immediate upgrade inside, they should do anything they can to trade-up into the bottom half of the first-round to snag either Patrick Queen or Kenneth Murray.

Either one of these two would be a day one starter in the middle of a defense so desperate for talent at the position. Each was highly productive at their respective schools and has an ideal mix of sideline-to-sideline range, as well as downhill ability that makes them so valuable in today’s NFL.

Unfortunately, the Los Angeles Rams don’t have a lot to bargain with at the moment. This means a lot would have to happen for them to land one of these two studs, but if Queen or Murray do end up falling late in the first, or even into the early picks of the second-round, LA has to see what it would cost them to move up from 52.

Ending up with either one of these two backers would soften the blow of giving up the twentieth overall pick (as well as their 2021 first-round pick) to Jacksonville in the Ramsey trade.
