2020 NFL Draft: Three-round mock draft with player and pick trades
All throughout the 2020 NFL Draft process, the fit of Justin Jefferson and the Saints has just made sense.
Jefferson wouldn’t have to move very far having played his college ball at LSU, and he would also be joining a wide receiver group that now includes both Michael Thomas and Emmanuel Sanders.
Jefferson showed this past season at LSU that he is capable of being a dynamic receiver from the slot position, making difficult catches over the middle of the field, near the sideline, in the red zone, deep downfield, and sitting down against zone coverage.
Jefferson has strong route running abilities and great hands along with competitive toughness. He can make life easy for Drew Brees, who would have one of the best groups of receivers he’s ever had if Jefferson is added to the fold.
