Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. QB. 1. player. LSU. Joe Burrow. 56

The Cincinnati Bengals have done something this offseason they certainly aren’t known for doing — spend money.

After franchise tagging wide receiver AJ Green, the Bengals went out and signed defensive lineman DJ Reader from the Texans, safety Von Bell from the Saints, and cornerbacks Trae Waynes and Mackensie Alexander from the Vikings among others.

As uncharacteristic as it was of the Bengals to make these moves in free agency, it was certainly necessary especially with Joe Burrow possibly coming to town.

The Bengals are still far from a finished product, but the additions they made in free agency, a healthy arsenal of offensive weaponry, and Joe Burrow in the mix certainly make things interesting going forward.

Burrow, as Bengals fans know, is coming off of the most impressive season from a college passer we have ever seen, and perhaps the best season for a quarterback at the college level period.

Burrow could turn the Bengals around, but obviously no young quarterback can do it alone. The Bengals knew they had to spend a little something in free agency, and they managed to make some really strong moves.

How they surround Burrow in the 2020 NFL Draft will be critical.
