2020 NFL Draft: Five trade-up targets for the Tennessee Titans
Currently holding the 29th overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft, we take a look at who the Tennessee Titans may make a trade up for on draft night.
With the 2020 NFL Draft less than a month away, it’s time to really get down to it in terms of predicting how things may play out April 23-25. Among the teams that I will be covering this draft season are the Tennessee Titans.
The Tennessee Titans currently hold the 29th overall pick in the first round of the 2020 NFL Draft. Additionally, they currently have a second, third, fifth and three seventh-round picks. With the lack of valuable draft capital in the middle rounds of the 2020 NFL Draft, it may be unlikely that the Titans make a big splash via trade up this April.
But they can use future picks to go up and get a guy that they really love if they feel the value is there. Who would they target? That’s what we are here to think about. You can find the positional needs that I feel the Tennessee Titans should address by the end of the 2020 NFL Draft here.
General manager Jon Robinson, head coach Mike Vrabel and the rest of the Tennessee Titans front office made keeping quarterback Ryan Tannehill and running back Derrick Henry a priority, getting them in the fold for at least one more season. But in doing so, they let quite a few quality players walk out the door, leaving multiple holes to fill if they hope to return to the AFC Championship Game again this season.
For this “trade up targets” exercise, I’ll be looking at options throughout the draft for the Tennessee Titans to trade up for. My primary focus will be moving up from 29 to get a top-tier talent in the 2020 NFL Draft, as well as moving up into the early second round to secure a first-round talent that may slip to Day 2.
