9. Trevis Gipson, EDGE, Tulsa

Height: 6-foot-3
Weight: 261 pounds

Any team looking to take a chance on some upside at the edge rusher position late in the 2020 NFL Draft should have Trevis Gipson on their radar. Gipson was an inconsistent producer in college, but he did pile up eight sacks and 15 tackles for loss for Tulsa in 2019. He is undoubtedly a guy to keep an eye on.

Gipson is a long and athletic edge rusher who shows impressive short-area agility and flexibility on the edge. He is an extremely raw player who needs to improve his first-step explosion and learn how to use his long arms better to even reach his full potential. That being said, with proper coaching and development at the next level, Gipson has a chance to become a legitimate defensive playmaker down the line.

8. Joe Reed, WR, Virginia

Height: 6-foot
Weight: 224 pounds

Joe Reed does have the most advanced route-running ability, but this guy is a dynamic playmaker with the ball in his hands. He has fantastic speed in the open field and tremendous vision with the ball in his hands. Reed is built more like a running back than a receiver and most of his value comes as a ball carrier. Reed will be listed as a wide receiver, but he is more like an offensive playmaker.

Reed is a fantastic kick returner who brings dynamic playmaking ability as an offensive weapon. He has tremendous versatility and high upside at the next level. If Reed is ever going to reach his ceiling, he has to improve his route running, but his overall skill-set is undoubtedly worth taking a chance on. Reed is one of my favorite late-round prospects in the 2020 NFL Draft class.

7. Cole McDonald, QB, Hawaii

Height: 6-foot-3
Weight: 215 pounds

I cannot say that I love the depth at the quarterback position in the 2020 NFL Draft. That being said, if a team wants to take a shot on a late-round flyer at the position, Cole McDonald should be the guy.

McDonald was an extremely productive college quarterback, albeit in an incredibly wide-open and pass-happy offensive attack at Hawaii. He simply was not put in many difficult situations mentally in college and that obviously raises questions about his ability to make decisions at the next level. McDonald also shows inconsistent accuracy as a passer, but he will drop a dime in there at times as well.

All of that being said, McDonald has a big arm, great athleticism, good pocket presence and great size for a quarterback prospect. McDonald is certainly a raw player who needs time to develop, but the skills are there for him to be a legitimate starting quarterback at the next level.
