5. 59. Pick Analysis. LSU. Joe Burrow. player. Scouting Report. Quarterback

Like Young, there is no way Joe Burrow falls out of the top five in the 2020 NFL Draft. Burrow showed so much talent in 2019, most teams should at least consider drafting him if he were to somehow fall to them later in the first round.

Burrow showed last season he has all the tools and intangibles NFL scouts love to see. He produced at a high level all season, never once faltering in his title season at LSU. The Miami Dolphins have several first-round draft picks in the 2020 NFL Draft, but they’d be foolish to let Burrow stay on the board past this pick.

Just watch Burrow’s games against Clemson and Oklahoma during the Playoffs. The Dolphins get their quarterback of the future, with a seasoned veteran like Ryan Fitzpatrick on the roster to show him the ropes in the NFL and start the season, if Burrow isn’t ready by Week 1. But everything from his 2019 season seems to indicate this won’t be a problem.

Burrow will be heading to a Dolphins team that is roughly a blank slate for him to work with. The team can design the team around him, making sure players are brought in to solely compliment his skills going into the future. He may have to deal with a rough rookie season. But with a smart head coach like Brian Flores helping him, this team could be a legitimate contender to take over the AFC East now that Tom Brady is in the NFC.
