Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. Wide Receiver. Oklahoma. 10. CeeDee Lamb. player. 53

Odell Beckham Jr. has only scored 10 touchdowns in two seasons and just four in 2019 according to Sports Reference. The Cleveland Browns did not trade a first-round pick last year for a wide receiver that couldn’t build a connection with Mayfield. Now the rumors are he is trade bait and the team is looking to pass him along to the next team.

Jarvis Landry, by comparison, has never missed a regular-season game in six seasons and averaged 14.1 yards per game in 2019. Even if he isn’t as talented as Beckham, he has a significantly lower profile in the media than Beckham and is therefore more valuable to the Browns going into the 2020 season.

With CeeDee Lamb, the Browns would be getting an elite speed wide receiver to replace Beckham and work with Mayfield in the 2020 NFL Draft. Helps the two played together at Oklahoma in 2017, so the two should be able to work together going into the 2020 season. Lamb brought in 14 touchdowns in 2019 and had a 21.4 yards per perception.

Kristian Fulton. player. 30. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. LSU. 11. Cornerback

While the offensive line is the expected target at number 11, the New York Jets throw a curveball here and draft LSU cornerback Kristian Fulton.

Besides Jamal Adams, how many players in the Jets secondary were drafted before the fifth round? Spoilers: just one, free safety Marcus Maye. Lead cornerback Brian Poole went undrafted in 2016 and has just one interception in four seasons. He was the only cornerback on the defense to play more than 68 percent of the defensive snaps in 2019, according to Pro Football Reference.

Out of eight cornerbacks on the roster, Darryl Roberts played the second most in 2019, with around 65 percent of the snaps. He was cut during free agency and now the Jets are sorely missing a good cornerback to pair with Poole.

Drafting Fulton from LSU in the 2020 NFL Draft would send a message to the AFC East that they are in the mix to win the division in 2020. Fulton had 20 passes defended in two seasons at LSU. While he only has two interceptions at LSU, Fulton was enough of a presence in the secondary to scare off quarterbacks from even looking in his direction.

Pair Fulton up with Poole and Adams and the Jets suddenly have a solid defense in 2020. With the solid number of wide receivers and offensive linemen in the 2020 NFL Draft, the Jets can afford to wait till Day Two to help quarterback Sam Darnold.

12. Alabama. Trevon Diggs. player. 28. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. Cornerback

The Las Vegas Raiders added Eli Apple to their secondary this offseason in an unusually aggressive free agency period for the team. Most mock drafts have the Raiders drafting an elite wide receiver here. But with two first-round picks in the 2020 NFL Draft and a deep receiver class this year, the Raiders can afford to wait past the first round to address the position.

With Trevon Diggs, the Raiders add a proven cornerback from an insanely competitive program in Alabama. Diggs is a versatile cornerback, who can step into the safety position if need be and has a solid resume attached to his profile.

Diggs had 17 passes defended and four interceptions during his time in Tuscaloosa, according to Sports Reference. Diggs will help the Raiders secondary cancel out the deep passing game in the AFC West as the division looks to become one of the tougher divisions in the AFC. Considering the Raiders will be facing Drew Lock and Patrick Mahomes twice a year for the foreseeable future, the Raiders will need to think about building a strong secondary going past 2020.
