We all have to find some things to do during quarantine, and one of those is talking about food. Whether it be desserts, like hand pies or brownies, or fun dishes, the guys can always talk about food.
After a little bit of that, it’s time to get into the NFC South mock draft. It’s arguably the best quarterback division in football, especially with Tom Brady joining the fold in Tampa Bay, along with Teddy Bridgewater swapping teams and heading to Carolina.
The Panthers start things off in this mock, and Jake goes a little off-script and selects a top defensive prospect often mocked elsewhere recently. Carolina’s draft continued with two more picks on defense in rounds two and three, and Jake added more offensive weapons who can thrive in Joe Brady’s offense.
Tampa Bay, controlled by Nate in this mock, addresses tackle in round one, along with help on the interior later in the draft. Getting more help at the skill positions is important, along with finding another impact defender in the secondary.
The Falcons focused most on defense, especially at the corner position after moving Desmond Trufant. The double-dip at corner, along with more help in the front seven, gives Dan Quinn’s defense some more juice.
Lastly is the New Orleans Saints. With just five picks in the draft, trading back in the first round might be the move for them, but we stuck with the board here and addressed big needs. The Saints get an impact linebacker and a steal at receiver in round three.
I hope you enjoyed the NFC South mock draft on the NFL Mocks Podcast! Tune back in for the next one!
