They may have given up their first-round pick, but the Indianapolis Colts are still in a position to improve through the 2020 NFL Draft. Find out how in this seven-round 2020 NFL mock draft.

The Indianapolis Colts started off their offseason with a bang, trading their first-round pick in the upcoming draft to the San Francisco 49ers in exchange for defensive lineman DeForest Buckner. Buckner has grown into one of the premier interior rushers in the entire league over the past couple of seasons.

The Colts filled a major position of need with one of the best players at the position in the entire league. Giving up the 13th overall pick was tough, but this was a worthy investment for Indianapolis.

Obviously, not holding their top will limit the Colts’ ability to add impact talent in the draft. That being said, they are still stocked up with plenty of capital. As things currently stand, the Indianapolis Colts hold the following selections in the 2020 NFL Draft:

  • Round 2, 34th overall (from Washington)
  • Round 2, 44th overall
  • Round 3, 75th overall
  • Round 4, 122nd overall
  • Round 5, 160th overall
  • Round 6, 193rd overall
  • Round 6, 197th overall (from Dallas)

With two second-round picks, the Colts are still in a great position to land impact talent early in the draft. They also have enough capital in the middle-late rounds to find gems throughout the entire draft.

The Colts already did a great job of finding an impact player with the 13th overall pick. Can they do the same with the rest of their picks? In this seven-round 2020 NFL mock draft, I try to put together a route to success for the Indianapolis Colts. Who are they able to bring into the mix? Let’s find out.
