2020 NFL Draft: LSU players go early in two-round 2020 NFL mock draft
The Atlanta Falcons are re-shaping their defense. After not bringing back edge rusher Vic Beasley, they agreed to a deal for Dante Fowler Jr., who had double-digit sacks for the first time in his career in 2019. They let go of cornerback Desmond Trufant and now need to find his replacement.
They won’t have to look too far for that as they select C.J. Henderson with their first pick in the 2020 NFL Draft. Henderson could provide some athletic ability to their secondary to go along with great cover skills.
The Dallas Cowboys have addressed one part of their secondary when they agreed to a one year deal with HaHa Clinton-Dix, but they still need a cornerback. LSU cornerback Kristian Fulton has been sliding down big boards and mock drafts, but I am still very high on him as a prospect. He has nice tools that NFL coaches can work with. He may not be the most athletically gifted player, but he will get the job done on Sundays.
The Dolphins loaded up on defense in free agency with Byron Jones and Kyle Van Noy and dipped their toes in the offensive line market signing guard Ereck Flowers, but they still need a tackle. Houston’s Josh Jones may not be a big-time name in the 2020 NFL Draft class, but he could fill the void on the left side of that line.
The Las Vegas Raiders have been addressing their defense in free agency, but still could use another pass rusher. They do have guys like Maxx Crosby and Clelin Ferrell coming off their first year in the NFL, but adding a guy like K’Lavon Chaisson to that mix is very enticing. He has very raw athletic ability and could be a nightmare matchup on Sundays.
The Jacksonville Jaguars continue to build their defense up in this mock draft, first selecting the big defensive lineman Derrick Brown and now taking the athletic, speedy linebacker from LSU, Patrick Queen. Jacksonville has had a hole at linebacker since Telvin Smith walked away, now they finally have found his replacement.
