2020 NFL Draft: Free agency, big trades shake up 2-round mock draft
The Arizona Cardinals may have made the top move any team will make all offseason — yes, that includes you, Tampa Bay — by trading a second-round pick and running back David Johnson for DeAndre-freaking-Hopkins.
Depending on who you ask, Hopkins is the best wide receiver in the NFL. The trade to bring him to Arizona costing only Johnson and a second-round pick is an absolute steal, but the Cardinals were not done there.
Arizona was able to add some key pieces defensively with Jordan Phillips on the defensive line, Devon Kennard off the edge, and De’Vondre Campbell at the linebacker position.
With such an emphasis on defense in free agency, the Cardinals should be focused in on upgrading the offensive line with the eighth overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft, and Jedrick Wills would be an outstanding value here.
Wills is a tremendous athlete at the right tackle position, and would give the Cardinals a nice young bookend duo with he and DJ Humphries, who signed a big contract extension this offseason as well.
