Justin Herbert. 6. player. 13. Pick Analysis. QB. Scouting Report. Oregon

After making an offer to Tom Brady and watching him sign with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the Chargers are moving on to Tyrod Taylor.

Which means they are moving on to the 2020 NFL Draft at the quarterback position.

They will not be backed into a corner with this pick, but I think the Chargers are the most likely team outside of the top five picks currently to take a quarterback in round one.

Herbert makes plenty of sense for them.

One of the most experienced quarterbacks in this draft class, Herbert is not a perfect prospect but he is a smart player who has played a lot of football and he has the physical tools to succeed right away in the NFL.

With a team like the Chargers, Herbert would have a chance to replace Philip Rivers and start a new era of football in Los Angeles.

After re-signing Austin Ekeler and bringing in some key pieces on the offensive line like Trai Turner (guard) and Bryan Bulaga (tackle) the Chargers further upgrade on offense by adding a tremendous talent at QB to build around for the future.
