Pick Analysis. DE. player. 58. Scouting Report. Ohio State. Chase Young. 2

The Washington Redskins have some decisions to make.

They have been connected to Tua Tagovailoa, and he can’t be counted out for this selection at this particular point in time. They’ve also been connected to Cam Newton and Jameis Winston, but at this point, neither of those things are happening either.

The smartest play for Washington and new head coach Ron Rivera has always been Chase Young, the best player in the entire draft.

Young is a freak of nature and would pair with Montez Sweat to give the Redskins a very talented young duo of edge rushers to get after the quarterback.

The big decision here comes down to what the new regime in Washington really thinks of Dwayne Haskins. Their Combine meeting with Tua Tagovailoa was apparently more than just due diligence — this team is sincerely interested in the possibility of an upgrade at QB.

Could we see two years in a row of a mid-round first-round quarterback being replaced by a top two pick?

If the Redskins take Tagovailoa, it will take the 2020 NFL Draft in a really wild direction.
