The New Orleans Saints just added free agent wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders to go along with Michael Thomas at the wide receiver position, why not give Drew Brees another weapon to work with?
While Sanders can be an excellent slot player when called upon, the Saints could draw up some indefensible three-wide sets with Justin Jefferson in the slot.
Jefferson, for my money, is the best slot receiver in this year’s draft.
He’s not only a savvy route runner, but he’s capable of beating press at the line of scrimmage and he makes tough catches in traffic.
Not only that, but Jefferson is also excellent after the catch.
He would give the Saints a third legitimate stud in the passing game with their new duo of Sanders and Thomas.
