The Falcons signed some help off the edge with Dante Fowler Jr. coming over from the Los Angeles Rams after perhaps the best year of his young NFL career.

In addition to adding Dante Fowler, the Falcons traded for tight end Hayden Hurst and they managed to get Todd Gurley on a one-year prove-it deal.

With their second-round pick headed to Baltimore in the Hurst trade, the Falcons know they have to make this selection count.

K’Lavon Chaisson out of LSU is perhaps the most appropriate pick they could make given their situation defensively.

Chaisson has tremendous versatility and leadership skills, and despite some injury woes early on in his time with the Tigers, he came through with a huge 2019 campaign en route to LSU’s championship victory.

He can play off the ball and cover, he can rush the passer, and he can attack the line of scrimmage in the run game. He’s going to be able to step in and play a huge role for Dan Quinn and Raheem Morris immediately.
