2020 NFL Draft: Free agency, big trades shake up 2-round mock draft
TRADE
San Francisco 49ers get: 15th overall pick, 95th overall pick
Denver Broncos get: 13th overall pick
The Denver Broncos are in desperate need for a playmaker at the wide receiver position to pair with Courtland Sutton.
CeeDee Lamb being on the board beyond the 12th overall pick warrants a trade up.
Now that John Lynch and the San Francisco 49ers are in the 13th overall slot, they are almost the perfect trade partner with the Broncos in case a player like this is on the board.
That is, of course, provided the 49ers don’t want a player like this themselves.
The 49ers recoup their third-round pick they sent to Denver in the Emmanuel Sanders trade, getting some of their draft capital back.
For the Broncos, this would bring forth an offensive core of:
QB: Drew Lock
RB: Melvin Gordon/Phillip Lindsay
WR1: Courtland Sutton
WR2: CeeDee Lamb
TE: Noah Fant
That would be an outstanding core to build off of in this draft. The Broncos have needs on the offensive and defensive lines, but they would still have three picks on day two to work with here.
