player. 48. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. LB. Mississippi State. Willie Gay. 4

Willie Gay would go higher if he had played a full season last year, but according to a tweet from Pro Football Focus’ Austin Gayle, “(Gay) was suspended eight games in 2019 for cheating on a test in a chemistry class.”

Willie Gay really made a name for himself at the combine. Recording a 4.46-second 40-yard dash, 39 1/2 inch vertical leap, and an 11-foot-4 broad jump. That type of athleticism is obviously very intriguing, but the lack sample size of games played in college may give teams some concern.

Edge. 48. player. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. Syracuse. Alton Robinson. 4

Alton Robinson isn’t an every-down player in the NFL, but his ability to win with his hands in pass-rush situations makes him a useful player. He’s not very explosive, which is why he’s not a first or second-day prospect, but he’s good enough at rushing the passer to be utilized in today’s NFL. In 35 games in his career at Syracuse, he had 19 sacks and five forced fumbles.

player. 48. G. John Molchon. Boise State. 5. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis

With Graham Glasgow and Oday Aboushi both being free agents at the end of the season the Tampa Bay Buccaneers can look to the draft to get more depth at guard. John Molchon would provide versatility because with his size (6-foot-5, 318 pounds) he could not only be a backup guard but also be a possible backup tackle.

Molchon was First-Team All-Mountain West this season and he wins with his size and strength. However, he isn’t much of an athlete which makes me worried that he’d be susceptible to quick pass rushers at the next level because he just doesn’t have quick feet.

48. Pick Analysis. RB. 6. player. Scouting Report. Louisiana. Elijah Mitchell

Elijah Mitchell has enough of a skillset to potentially make the Tampa Bay Buccaneers roster as a backup option. He has good burst, he runs hard, he’s strong at the tackle point, and he has solid receiving skills. In 31 games with Louisiana, hes rushed for 2334 yards and 32 touchdowns and has added 33 catches for 444 yards and five touchdowns through the air.
