In this episode, the guys start with an update in the sports world after cancellations and panic abound. The NFL Draft content will still be rolling out here at NFL Mocks, so keep it locked here throughout the rest of draft season.

Next up on the pod, the new CBA was signed into effect, with the players passing the vote with a 1,019-959 majority. The new bargaining agreement includes a seventh playoff team starting in the 2020 season, and a 17 game season starting in 2021.

The NFL is clearly out for some more money with two extra playoff games, along with another week of the regular season. But, it will be interesting to see how the players who voted “no” reacted. Michael Thomas has already mentioned the idea of load management, which is fair as this doesn’t exactly help out player safety.

On to the news before free agency begins! The Indianapolis Colts brought back tackle Anthony Castonzo on a two year, $33 million deal that keeps a great offensive line intact. Tennessee broke the bank on a Ryan Tannehill extension, with four years and $118 million. Let’s not forget about a trade between Baltimore and Jacksonville, where the Ravens got Calais Campbell for a fifth-round pick, which the guys believe is highway robbery.

Lastly, Jake and Nate go through their top five free-agent fits. Nate talks about a shakeup at the quarterback position in Dallas, along with a great signing for the Saints at wide receiver. Jake discusses a home run fit at corner for the Eagles. For all the fits, listen to the pod!
