Andrew Thomas 2020 NFL Draft

Although he was once considered a lock for the top 10 picks, the draft stock of Georgia left tackle Andrew Thomas has cooled off a bit.

What the reasons are, I’m not sure.

Thomas was available at pick number 18 in this simulation, but it’s possible he would go much earlier, namely 11th overall to the New York Jets.

If that’s not the case, the Dolphins would probably be thrilled to scoop him up and immediately insert one of the most NFL-ready linemen from a technique perspective into their starting lineup.

What Thomas lacks in flash and athleticism he more than makes up for in footwork, game speed, and football intelligence.

He’s a stud and he’s going to be a good player in the NFL for a really long time.

In this scenario, he becomes the blindside protector for Tua Tagovailoa.
