The Miami Dolphins obviously have to upgrade the quarterback position in this draft. The question is — how do they feel about Tua Tagovailoa’s health?

Tua’s injury history at Alabama is certainly nothing to write off as unimportant, but he also may have simply suffered a series of freak injuries.

The medical exams will be critical to making this pick, but the Dolphins certainly wouldn’t be scoffing at the chance to get a healthy Tagovailoa, one of the most dominant passers in college football over the last two seasons.

Even when Tagovailoa was dealing with injury issues and playing through them in 2018, he was a Heisman candidate. We haven’t gotten to see a lot of him at full strength, but this is one of the most fascinating players at the quarterback position to come along in a while. He’s almost like a left-handed Russell Wilson with the way he maneuvers around the pocket under pressure and the way he can make plays with his arm and legs.

The Dolphins get their franchise passer at the top of their draft.
