After standout performances from Jonathan Taylor, Isaiah Simmons, and others at the combine, the 2020 NFL Draft has taken a new form. Who has risen and who has fallen?

The 2020 NFL Draft has continued its unpredictability in the middle portion of the first round, creating dilemmas within and between position groups for the middle-tier teams of the NFL. The 2020 NFL combine though was able to shed light on the physical talents of these prospects and gave us the annual tangible measurables of each major prospect.

Highlights from a 4.27 40-time from Henry Ruggs III, 44 bench press reps of 225 pounds by Netane Muti, and Donovan Peoples-Jones jumping out of his shoes in both the vertical (44.5 inches) and broad jump (139 inches), the 2020 NFL Draft holds some of the most unique athletic specimens in recent memory.

Another standout of the 2020 NFL combine was Wisconsin running back Jonathan Taylor, able to shrug off his ‘slow-power back’ label with a 4.39 40-time, fastest in his position group ahead of D’Andre Swift and J.K. Dobbins.

One of the biggest risers of the combine was Iowa offensive tackle Tristan Wirfs, showing off the athleticism we all knew he had throughout the 2019 season on the biggest stage. Wirfs led offensive linemen in the 40-yard dash, vertical and broad jump showing his movement and ability to get to the edge on pulling plays.

Finally, Division II invite Kyle Dugger has become one of the biggest talking points in a top-heavy 2020 NFL Draft secondary with his on-field performance and athletic tests. Between a 4.49 40-time, 17 reps of 225 pounds and a 42-inch vertical, all at 217 pounds, make him a candidate to be the first Division II player selected in the first round since 1999.
