Kyle Van Noy, linebacker, New England Patriots

The Patriots acquired linebacker Kyle Van Noy in 2016 in a pretty modest trade with the Detroit Lions.

Since Van Noy became a member of the Patriots, he has become a tremendous all-around linebacker.

The Patriots’ linebackers coach when they acquired Van Noy? Current Dolphins head coach Brian Flores.

The connections for Van Noy in Miami are obvious, and because he wouldn’t have to learn an entirely new defensive scheme, this fit makes a lot of sense with the Dolphins poised to hand out a couple of massive contracts this offseason.

Van Noy is a really smart player who can play all three downs and do a little bit of everything. He can rush the passer as well as drop in coverage, and he made a lot of big plays for the Pats over the last three seasons with 15.5 regular season sacks and 5.5 more sacks in postseason play.
