Running back

Though passing is king, a team’s running game isn’t something to forget about.

Carlos Hyde put up solid numbers during his 2019 season, but his future with the Houston organization remains to be unknown. Hyde is scheduled to be a free agent in 2020, so the Texans potentially drafting a running back would be beneficial to ensure their offensive balance.

There’s a possibility of Hyde leaving the Houston organization, so the team should waste no time in trying to find the next running back that can fill in as a full-time starter.

Derrick Henry, the former Tennessee Titans running back, is one name to be considered from free-agency if Houston wants to break the bank.

Regarding the draft pool of potential running backs, Jonathan Taylor from Wisconsin would be an ideal choice as he currently holds the record for rushing yards as a freshman at Wisconsin and has shown he is not scared of a big stage.
