The Denver Broncos have to add more at the wide receiver position this offseason, and Justin Jefferson out of LSU is one of the more uniquely qualified players to step in and excel at the NFL right away.

Jefferson, a well-rounded player who operated mostly out of the slot last year for LSU, would be an extremely valuable weapon for Drew Lock and new offensive coordinator Pat Shurmur being able to flex in and out of the slot and make plays after the catch.

Jefferson showed surprising straight line speed at the Combine with a 4.43 in the 40-yard dash, and his overall athletic testing scores showed much more than a savvy route runner with a tremendous catch radius.

Jefferson maybe doesn’t have the highest ceiling among the top receivers in the 2020 NFL Draft class, but he does everything really well and he has a low, low floor.

He showed a lot of refined skills this past year in his route running, release at the line of scrimmage, and ability to make tough catches in traffic that lead me to believe he will be one of the top rookie receivers in 2020.
