Las Vegas Raiders: 2020 NFL Draft trade-up targets
By Ian Higgins
Rising up draft boards to become the number one wide receiver of the 2020 NFL draft, CeeDee Lamb is a prototypical number one wideout who can make plays with both his height and speed. One of Lamb’s most talked about qualities has been his ability to create yards after the catch. Lamb is not only fast, but he is a strong runner who can fight his way through contact surprisingly well for a wide receiver.
At 6-foot-2, 198 pounds Lamb has the build of a top-ten NFL wideout as long as he continues to grow and fill out his frame (only 20 years old). Quick feet and fluid hips give him quality route-running and the ability to create separation outside of his athleticism. Lamb also understands leverage in downfield passing scenarios and can use his height and 34.5-inch vertical to get to balls outside a smaller corner’s catch radius.
The Las Vegas Raiders have been in desperate need of a star wideout since Amari Cooper was traded away to Dallas, and Antonio Brown does not need to be spoken of after his debacle with the team before a single game was played. Lamb is a prototypical number one wideout who could fall to their original pick at 12 but would be a more certain bet with a trade into the top 10.
