Pick Analysis. 4. Scouting Report. RB. Maryland. Anthony McFarland. player. 824

While it is certainly exciting to think about the Chiefs taking someone like Jonathan Taylor, D’Andre Swift or Clyde Edwards-Helaire, I am not sure that it is realistic. This team has legitimate holes on their roster that will likely have to be addressed in the first two rounds of the 2020 NFL Draft. Running back is a minor position of need, but it is also a position that can be addressed with lesser resources. Also, let’s not forget that Damien Williams is also still around.

I expect to see the Chiefs take a flyer on a running back later in the draft. In this 2020 NFL mock draft, Anthony McFarland is the guy. McFarland is an extremely elusive runner who shows tremendous change of direction skills and acceleration at all times. He is most impressive when he is able to showcase his short-area quickness, but do not sleep on McFarland’s burst and long speed. This guy can absolutely fly as well.

He also shows a bit of power and impressive contact balance. This guy just has a knack for keeping his feet. Add in his unrealized upside as a pass receiver and you have an extremely exciting running back prospect who could be a real playmaker at the next level. Get this guy in Kansas City and let him work, the results are going to be impressive.

IDL. player. 810. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. Nebraska. Khalil Davis. 5

To cap off this 2020 NFL mock draft, the Kansas City Chiefs go with another Big Ten prospect, this time landing Khalil Davis, an exciting interior defensive lineman out of Nebraska. Davis shows an impressive combination of power and athleticism that will play at the next level. He is an exciting one-gap penetrator who should be able to make an immediate impact on sub-packages on the interior.

The Chiefs are not going to be able to replace Chris Jones with a fifth-round pick, but Davis has an exciting ceiling that could help soften the blow. The interior defensive line could end up being a major need for this team and Davis has the talent to at least contribute in a minor way.
