How can the Kansas City Chiefs improve this offseason? Find out in this complete seven-round 2020 NFL mock draft where the team fills their biggest needs.

The Kansas City Chiefs are coming off an impressive Super Bowl championship and honestly, as long as Patrick Mahomes is under center, they will likely be among the favorites to take home the Lombardi Trophy year-after-year. Locking up Mahomes to a long-term extension should be priority number one for the Chiefs this offseason. However, they will obviously have more work to do with this roster.

Kansas City is not exactly loaded with cap space ($13.6 million under the cap) and will have to figure out what to do with star defensive lineman Chris Jones. To put it simply, I doubt that we will see many major outside free-agent additions by the Kansas City Chiefs.

This leaves the draft for the Chiefs to fill a majority of their needs and round out their roster. Interior offensive line, cornerback and pass coverage linebackers stand out as their biggest needs. The Chiefs could also look to attack offensive playmakers at running back and wide receiver, and if Jones does leave in free agency, the interior defensive line will become a major need.

While this is obviously a well-rounded and talented roster, the Chiefs still have plenty of work to do this offseason and most of their major additions will have to come through the draft. What is a strong plan of attack for the Kansas City Chiefs in the draft? Find out in this complete seven-round 2020 NFL mock draft.
