Arizona Cardinals mock 2020 offseason with Stefon Diggs trade
2020 NFL Draft First Round: Jedrick Wills, OT, Alabama
After re-signing left tackle DJ Humphries and making the hypothetical trade for Stefon Diggs, the Cardinals have done a lot to improve their offense in this scenario already.
Adding Jedrick Wills in the first round of the 2020 NFL Draft would not be a luxury though, by any means.
Wills would step in immediately for the Cardinals as a starter at right tackle position, and protecting Kyler Murray is obviously of paramount importance.
The Cardinals, having made the hypothetical trade for Diggs in this situation, have some flexibility.
They could go for a defensive player like Derrick Brown, Isaiah Simmons, or Jeffrey Okudah depending on which one is available. Or, they could go with the best offensive tackle left, and it’s likely they will be able to get one of the two or three best in a draft that has at least three guys who would probably be the OT1 in a normal class.
Wills is a mauler in the running game, but he’s got great feet in pass protection and a nasty initial punch.
He would be a tremendous complement to DJ Humprhies at the right tackle position.
