AFC West

Kansas City Chiefs: Chris Harris Jr., Cornerback (Broncos)

Although Chris Harris Jr. will be coveted by a variety of teams around the league, I think he’s going to want to stick it to the Denver Broncos for not paying him the money he wants.

One way or another, I think he ends up in the AFC West with either the Chiefs or the Las Vegas Raiders, but Harris has openly talked about joining forces with Tyrann Mathieu in the Chiefs’ secondary.

Chris Jones franchise tag assumed.

Las Vegas Raiders: Cory Littleton, Linebacker (Rams)

The Las Vegas Raiders really have a couple of holes to fill at the linebacker position.

Although this team will undoubtedly be active on the free agent market in general, getting the effective three-down stud Cory Littleton from the Los Angeles Rams could be the biggest move they make.

The Raiders will also be in the mix for Byron Jones, but I think Littleton is a more realistic top move for this team.

Los Angeles Chargers: Jameis Winston, Quarterback (Buccaneers)

Jameis Winston has to land somewhere, right?

The Chargers let go of Philip Rivers, and they could look to revive Jameis Winston’s career. He would have a good situation in LA, and if he’s willing to do a relatively risk-free 2-3 year deal at market value, this could be a win-win for Winston and the Chargers.

After trading Russell Okung for Trai Turner, the Chargers could also sign Jason Peters to hold the fort down at left tackle for a draft pick at six overall, or they could use that pick on a player like Tristan Wirfs, Mekhi Becton, or Jedrick Wills to pair with Peters for a season and then replace him next offseason.

Denver Broncos: Javon Hargrave, Steelers // DJ Reader, Texans

With the Tennessee Titans opening up their franchise tag for running back Derrick Henry (the original bold prediction free agent for the Broncos) the discussion moves to the defensive line where Denver needs two starters.

Javon Hargrave and DJ Reader are each pegged as nose tackle types who can actually play all over the defensive line.

In Vic Fangio’s defense, getting pressure up front is essential. Having these two guys opens everything up for Von Miller and Bradley Chubb off the edge.

The Broncos could also be big players for Amari Cooper.

Justin Simmons franchise tag assumed.
